Kings and Kingdoms all pass away
nothing on earth endures, but
the Love of God who sent His Son
is Forever and Ever Yours.
Have you taken it to Jesus?
Have you left your burden there?
Does He tenderly support you?
Have you rolled on Him your care?

O' the sweet unfailng refuge
Of the everlasting arms,
In their loving clasp enfolded
Nothing worries or alarms.

Have you taken it to Jesus?
Just the thing that's pressing now
Are you trusting Him completely
With the when, and where and how

Oh, the joy of full surrender
Of our life, our plans, our all,
Proving, far above our asking
That God answers when we call.

Have you taken it to Jesus?
'Tis the only place to go
If you want the burden lifted
And solace for your woe.

Hear my prayer, O Lord; listen to my cry for mercy.
In the day of my trouble I will call to You,
for You will answer me.
Psalm 86:6-7
When answers seem beyond our reach,
And direction is nowhere in sight,
Take it to the Lord in prayer,
For He understands your plight.

So often we ask for what is unknown,
Saying we want a word from Him;
But when the response to us is heard,
Our souls often hesitate to begin,

To act in accordance with His will,
And walk in the way of truth,
Afraid of what is up ahead,
Or thinking of what we might lose.

Yet when we take that step of faith,
And come to feel the Father's hand;
Reaching out to us in love,
Helping us to understand;

We learn He's got every solution available,
To whatever may come our way,
And all we need to simply do,
Is bow our heads and pray.
