Kings and Kingdoms all pass away nothing on earth endures, but the Love of God who sent His Son is Forever and Ever Yours.

You had not a soul to comfort You, As You walked toward Calvary. No-one was walking by Your side, Who could ease Your agony. As You let them nail You to the cross, God in Heaven ~ looked away. Then You died a slow and painful death, As the skies darkened on that day. Oh what pain and grief You must have felt, What loneliness, You bore; But I know, You did it all for me, And You're mine, forevermore. Now when I face pain and loneliness, It won't be with scorn nor hate; For the pain and loneliness, You felt, Will not ever be my fate As the storms of life come raging in, Precious Jesus, hold my hand, For I know You died that I might live, And You canceled all my sin. Not a storm of life can threaten me, Not a cloud, can dim my view, For I know You did it all for me, And I'll keep my eyes on You! © Joan Katelyn Kassel

I was there with Him, that day on Calvary, The day my Lord made that climb. I walked by His side and He whispered to me, "For my Sacrifice, it now is the time." I was there at Golgotha on that darkened light day And was witness to all that took place. As my Jesus started the climb up that hill, I can still see the look on His face. I offered to drag the Cross up the hill But He said, "I'll carry you too. I'm doing this now, for one reason, Son, It's my Father's Love that I carry for you." He didn't appear sad, distraught or fatigued, He just seemed to reflect of His Love. When He looked over at me and gave me a wink, I knew then He had come from above. I could feel the weight of the Cross on His back, But I could see that my Lord was so strong. I crowded myself over to Him, And I begged, can I help you along? "No," He whispered, "it's my time you see, to be responsible for all that you've done. But for me, yes, you can help me to prove That I Truly am God's only Son. I'm doing all this and I want you to know, I Love you for hurting with Me. It's looking bad now what is taking place, But my Face you again soon will see. After it's done and your Healing begins, I have a request I ask you to do. I want you to tell everyone that you can Every word that I said was so True. I thank you my Son for walking with me, And Trusting I am who I am. I'll go for a while and prepare you a place, And wait for you there to come in. Now go to the tomb and wait for me there I'll be there for only three days. When you see the stone that has been rolled away, Then you'll be able to continue your Praise." So, I did what He said and went on ahead, But could hear the cheer's from the crowd. I heard pounding of nails and screams from afar, And the thunder echoed so loud. It was as day turned to night and clouds lost the storm, It was as it was the beginning of a real end. It was like I lost and gained all at once, And I was So Proud of my Heavenly Friend. Now that it's done, Jesus, I want you to know I Love you for Dying for me. I long for the time, again we will meet, And your perfect face, once more, I will see. John 19:16-42 D.L.Sutton
